FMA Cleans up with new Heinz contract

Following on from the successful completion of a contract to install a new “Cleaning in Place” and product feed solution on the stick pack lines at the Heinz sauce production facility in Telford, FMA Process Engineering of Lichfield has been awarded a further contract with Heinz.
With around 20 different sauces in regular production at the Telford plant, Heinz wanted to further utilise FMA’s CIP technology – this time to enhance the cleaning process applied to its “mixing” vessels
With six 1000kg process vessels on the sauce production line, and each requiring thorough cleaning in between batches, Heinz sought a more efficient cleaning solution – one that would significantly reduce cleaning time, provide greater flexibility in the cleaning regime and further enhance the existing levels of operator safety in place at the plant.
